KILN, MISS: Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission is inviting families to a spooktacular day of fun at Stennis International Airport's third annual Hallowings Flightfest. This free community event will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Hallowings Flightfest is designed for all ages and offers a unique Halloween experience. Attendees can enjoy a one-of-a-kind "aircraft-style" trunk or treat, where local organizations will hand out candy from decorated booths and aircraft. The event also features tours of the air traffic control tower, providing a rare glimpse into the airport's operations.
In addition, the event will host the Nest Fest Cook-Off, presented by Hancock County School District's H Nation Fund. In this culinary competition, participants are encouraged to showcase their skills by creating their own cuisine, with popular suggestions including jambalaya, sliders, chili, pizza, and desserts.
Organizations interested in participating in the "aircraft-style" trunk or treat can request registration forms by emailing Taylor Ladner at TLeeLadner@hcphc.ms.
Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission looks forward to inviting the community for a fun-filled and festive day.
