KILN, MISS: Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission (HCPHC) is excited to announce Taylor Lee Ladner, as the newest addition to our team, as a Business Development Specialist. Ladner will assist the economic development team with marketing HCPHC and the county, workforce development, business recruitment and retention, site development and research.
The business development specialist will act as a liaison for the existing business community and local and state agencies. Ladner will identify new business leads and opportunities for Hancock County, coordinate leases of HCPHC assets, and track economic development indicators to demonstrate progress in the County.
“HCPHC is fortunate to have someone like Taylor join our economic development team. She is a product of our public school system and community. She understands the local economy and wants to see it continue to grow and thrive,” remarked Lara Bowman, Director of Economic Development and Marketing.
Ladner stated, "I’m excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission. Growing up in Hancock County has made me who I am and I'm thrilled to make an impact in the area I grew up in."
Ladner joins HCPHC from Hancock Resource Center where she provided social media, external communications, and outreach services along with being the Program Coordinator of the Hancock Youth Leadership Academy. Ladner is a graduate of William Carey University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Ladner was raised in Waveland and graduated from Hancock High School and Pearl RiverCommunity College. She currently lives in Waveland with her husband Brennan.
