KILN, MISS: Are you ready for spooky family fun this halloween? Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission will host a Hallowings Flightfest at Stennis International Airport on Saturday October 28, 2023, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
There is no cost to attend and no age limit, this event offers opportunities for the whole family to enjoy. The event will feature a “trunk or treat aircraft-style,” tours of the air traffic control towers, food trucks, and more. Parents can enjoy Grit and Grind 228 Coffee while the family has lunch from Twisted Sisters or Las Sarapes Tacos. Vendor booths will include Big Easy Wings from the Commemorative Air Force, Boeing, and Gulf Coast Aviation, with displays from the Civil Air Patrol, Jay Bostay and the Rescue 5 Helicopter.
Stennis International Airport Director Austin Jenkins looks forward to hosting the Halloween event: “This fun, family event will allow the community an opportunity to be involved while also allowing them to experience what general aviation truly is, here at the Stennis International Airport. The airport is such an essential part of the community and community involvement is paramount to the overall success of the airport. It is our goal at Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission to expose the community to possible career paths and opportunities here in Hancock County.”
