On March 7, 2016 Stennis International Airport conducted cargo operations with two of the world's largest cargo transporters, the Lockheed C5 Galaxy and the Antonov AN124-100. The C5 Galaxy provides the United States Air Force (USAF) with a heavy intercontinental-range strategic airlift capability, one that can carry outsize and oversize loads, including all air-certifiable cargo. This time it was supporting a redeployment of Naval Special Warfare personnel and equipment. The AN-124-100 was here to support Rolls Royce North American with the transportation of its Trent 7000 engine and support equipment back their facilities in the United Kingdom. Both cargo operations were successful and the aircraft departed on their scheduled date and time for continue missions.Â
